Oras, eu tamb\u00e9m poderia pensar o mesmo. Entretanto n\u00e3o \u00e9 bem assim. O estudo de microf\u00f3sseis \u00e9 <\/i><i>extremamente<\/i><i> importante para a Paleontologia, e n\u00e3o deve ser subestimado, muito pelo contr\u00e1rio. Os mesmos podem n\u00e3o s\u00f3 ajudar, mas s\u00e3o essenciais \u00e0 paleoecologia e \u00e0 paleoclimatologia, sendo muitos, pe\u00e7as fundamentais para determinar como se estruturava o ambiente primitivo. Esses microorganismos, na maioria dos casos, s\u00e3o representados por microf\u00f3sseis carbonatados ou calc\u00e1rios. Tratam-se de foramin\u00edferos, ostracodes e cocolit\u00f3foros. Abaixo tratarei mais especificamente dos cocolit\u00f3foros.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: orange\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: orange\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: orange\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: orange\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\">Os nanof\u00f3sseis calc\u00e1rios s\u00e3o um conjunto de part\u00edculas de calc\u00e1rios, com dimens\u00f5es menores que 50 micra, com grandes variedades de formas, mas geralmente constituem-se de placas arredondadas conhecidas como coc\u00f3litos. Um pesquisador estudando um bols\u00e3o de combust\u00edvel f\u00f3ssil em qualquer parte do mundo pode saber com uma boa margem de seguran\u00e7a qual a \u00e9poca de sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o. Por exemplo, se uma esp\u00e9cie tal qual a <em>Braarudosphaera chalk<\/em>, for encontrada em uma determinada camada estratigr\u00e1fica, o pesquisador logo saber\u00e1 que esta pertence ao Oligoceno &#8211; \u00e9poca marcada por esta esp\u00e9cie. Ent\u00e3o, se o mesmo ou outro pesquisador encontrar essa esp\u00e9cie em outra camada estratigr\u00e1fica em outra parte do mundo, ele pode caracterizar aquele estrato como tamb\u00e9m pertencente ao Oligoceno, descartando muitas vezes a necessidade de uma data\u00e7\u00e3o radiom\u00e9trica.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><strong>Outros objetos de estudo da Micropaleontologia: Palinologia e os Microf\u00f3sseis de vertebrados<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><strong><br \/><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Dentro da micropaleontologia encontramos vertentes important\u00edssimas, tal qual a Paleopalinologia, ci\u00eancia que dedica-se a estudar os gr\u00e3os de p\u00f3len e esporos f\u00f3sseis. \u00c9 um ramo paleontol\u00f3gico extremamente importante para o estudo de paleoclimas e paleoecossistemas. Uma vez que cada esp\u00e9cie vegetal possui tipo particular de p\u00f3len ou esporo, torna-se poss\u00edvel determinar a composi\u00e7\u00e3o vegetal e as caracter\u00edsticas clim\u00e1ticas de Eras<strong> <\/strong>passadas e como foi sua evolu\u00e7\u00e3o ao longo do tempo geol\u00f3gico.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">N\u00e3o menos importante, \u00e9 o estudo dos microf\u00f3sseis de vertebrados, Al\u00e9m de ajudar a entender melhor a diversidade de vida do passado e estabelecer marcos estratigr\u00e1ficos (como acontece com os dentes de conodontes), eles podem em alguns casos auxiliar a reconstruir caracter\u00edsticas de ambientes extintos. Microf\u00f3sseis de roedores cenoz\u00f3icos oferecem essa possibilidade, por exemplo. Esses animais t\u00eam exig\u00eancias ecol\u00f3gicas espec\u00edficas e estudando a sua assembl\u00e9ia f\u00f3ssil em uma localidade, podemos reconhecer como eram fisionomias vegetacionais do passado, mais abertas ou florestais por exemplo.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Concluindo, <strong>n\u00e3o devemos subestimar o &#8220;poder&#8221; dos microf\u00f3sseis<\/strong>. eles s\u00e3o, na verdade, as principais ferramentas da paleontologia. A import\u00e2ncia n\u00e3o est\u00e1 no tamanho, mas nas informa\u00e7\u00f5es que eles s\u00e3o capazes de fornecer sobra a nossa fant\u00e1stica e misteriosa hist\u00f3ria evolutiva.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Quando se fala em paleontologia, a primeira coisa que se vem a cabe\u00e7a, s\u00e3o os fant\u00e1sticos e imponentes dinossauros do mesoz\u00f3ico, mas o que as pessoas n\u00e3o sabem, ou ignoram, \u00e9 que a paleontologia \u00e9 muito mais que isso. Ela \u00e9 abrangente assim como a gen\u00e9tica, que n\u00e3o se baseia s\u00f3 no estudo de rela\u00e7\u00f5es de paternidade entre indiv\u00edduos, ou a ecologia, que n\u00e3o estuda somente as rela\u00e7\u00f5es entre organismos, ou ainda a bioqu\u00edmica, que esta al\u00e9m do funcionamento do ciclo de Krebs. <strong>Essa abrang\u00eancia se confirma em congressos de paleontologia<\/strong>, com temas diversificados em todas as escalas, nano, micro, macro ou mega.
