Doel est\u00e1 marcada para ser completamente demolida e n\u00e3o passar\u00e1 de 2012. O motivo? Ampliar o maior porto do pa\u00eds. No s\u00e9culo XIX, chegou a ter mais de 2.500 habitantes. Mas ao longo do s\u00e9culo XX, Antu\u00e9pia crescia cada vez mais, o que come\u00e7ou a amea\u00e7ar a exist\u00eancia da vila vizinha. O governo vem tentando for\u00e7ar a sa\u00edda dos residentes de Doel com demoli\u00e7\u00f5es agendadas desde o fim dos anos 1960. Legalmente falando, Doel j\u00e1 morreu: a cidade deixou de ser um munic\u00edpio independente em 1977, quando foi incorporada ao munic\u00edpio de Beveren.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com.br\/hypercubic\/files\/2012\/11\/doel.15545.large_slideshow.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"270\" src=\"http:\/\/scienceblogs.com.br\/hypercubic\/files\/2012\/11\/doel.15545.large_slideshow.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">Durante quase duas d\u00e9cadas, os protestos e a resist\u00eancia dos \u201cdoelitas\u201d foi mais forte. At\u00e9 que, em 1999, o destino da cidadezinha foi definitivamente selado. Desde ent\u00e3o seus habitantes v\u00eam abandonando-a lentamente. A escola, por exemplo, foi fechada em 2003, quando havia apenas 8 alunos matriculados.
