Ele conseguiu encontrar resson\u00e2ncias orbitais que podem formar a &#8220;harmonia dos mundos&#8221;, mas n\u00e3o foi capaz de ouvi-la. Ainda que fosse bom matem\u00e1tico, faltavam-lhe os dotes t\u00e9cnicos e art\u00edsticos para converter rela\u00e7\u00f5es num\u00e9ricas em notas musicais.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dentro e fora do sistema solar, as resson\u00e2ncias orbitais entre planetas e\/ou luas s\u00e3o um fen\u00f4meno comum. Esse tipo de resson\u00e2ncia acontece quando dois corpos celestes executam um n\u00famero de \u00f3rbitas diferentes num determinado per\u00edodo de tempo, o que leva a uma repeti\u00e7\u00e3o r\u00edtmica de suas posi\u00e7\u00f5es relativas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Partindo das rela\u00e7\u00f5es e frequ\u00eancias causadas pelas intera\u00e7\u00f5es gravitacionais, n\u00e3o \u00e9 dif\u00edcil encontrar m\u00fasica. &#8220;Onde h\u00e1 resson\u00e2ncia, h\u00e1 m\u00fasica e n\u00e3o tem lugar do sistema solar mais repleto de resson\u00e2ncias que Saturno&#8221;, afirma ao <em><a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/news\/2017-08-astrophysicists-moons-saturn-music.html\">Phys.org<\/a><\/em> o astrof\u00edsico Matt Russo, do Instituto Canadense de Astrof\u00edsica Te\u00f3rica, ligado \u00e0 Universidade de Toronto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Com dezenas de luas e milhares de an\u00e9is rodopiando ao seu redor, Saturno pode mesmo ser considerado o maior instrumento musical da nossa vizinhan\u00e7a. Mas como toc\u00e1-lo? Antes de mais nada, \u00e9 preciso escolher algumas cordas. Russo, que tamb\u00e9m toca <em>jazz<\/em> no clube da universidade, percebeu uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o interessante entre algumas luas saturnianas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Mimas e T\u00e9tis, primeira e terceira luas do sistema, t\u00eam uma resson\u00e2ncia de 2:1 (ou seja, a cada duas \u00f3rbitas de Mimas, T\u00e9tis completa uma). Enc\u00e9lado e Dione, segunda e quarta luas, combinam-se da mesma maneira. \u00c9 poss\u00edvel criar um padr\u00e3o musical simples por\u00e9m interessante \u00e0 medida que essas luas ficam mais ou menos sincronizadas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">[youtube_sc url=&#8221;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UGnuDE7sINI&#8221; autohide=&#8221;1&#8243; nocookie=&#8221;1&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">No entanto, o movimento desses sat\u00e9lites \u00e9 t\u00e3o lento que uma convers\u00e3o direta resultaria num som inaud\u00edvel. Para corrigir isso, Russo, em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com o tamb\u00e9m astrof\u00edsico Dan Tamayo e o m\u00fasico Andrew Santaguida, teve que elevar as frequ\u00eancias orbitais em 27 oitavas. Isso s\u00f3 foi poss\u00edvel gra\u00e7as a um misto de simulador e sintetizador desenvolvido por Tamayo, que emite uma nota musical a cada \u00f3rbita completada. O resultado \u00e9 uma esp\u00e9cie de can\u00e7\u00e3o de ninar dram\u00e1tica \u2014\u00a0uma homenagem digna \u00e0 Cassini, sonda que est\u00e1 sendo posta para dormir depois de 12 anos de trabalho ao redor de Saturno.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/3c1703fe8d.site.internapcdn.net\/newman\/gfx\/news\/hires\/2017\/3-universityof.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/3c1703fe8d.site.internapcdn.net\/newman\/gfx\/news\/hires\/2017\/3-universityof.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"968\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Russo e seus colegas tamb\u00e9m fizeram outra composi\u00e7\u00e3o, dessa vez baseada na intera\u00e7\u00e3o entre duas luas menores, situadas junto aos an\u00e9is mais externos de Saturno. Jano e Epimeteu t\u00eam um ritmo \u00fanico no sistema solar: s\u00e3o o \u00fanico par de corpos celestes com resson\u00e2ncia 1:1. Na pr\u00e1tica, isso significa que elas compartilham a mesma \u00f3rbita j\u00e1 que a dist\u00e2ncia de ambas em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a Saturno varia bem pouco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;Cada anel \u00e9 como uma corda circular&#8221; \u2014\u00a0explica Russo \u2014\u00a0&#8220;que \u00e9 continuamente tocada por Jano e Epimeteu enquanto elas correm uma atr\u00e1s da outra em sua \u00f3rbita compartilhada.&#8221; Trocando de lugar a cada oito anos, essas luazinhas est\u00e3o em un\u00edssono, mas t\u00eam resson\u00e2ncias com os an\u00e9is vizinhos.
