Essa liga\u00e7\u00e3o dupla torna o cloreto de vinila suscet\u00edvel a rea\u00e7\u00f5es de adi\u00e7\u00e3o com uma ampla variedade de nucle\u00f3filos (\u00e1tomo ou mol\u00e9cula que doam el\u00e9trons a um s\u00edtio pobre de densidade eletr\u00f4nica em outra mol\u00e9cula), como \u00e1gua, \u00e1lcoois, aminas e \u00e1cidos. <\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Essas rea\u00e7\u00f5es ditas de adi\u00e7\u00e3o, geralmente, resultam na forma\u00e7\u00e3o de novas liga\u00e7\u00f5es qu\u00edmicas pelo acr\u00e9scimo de uma nova liga\u00e7\u00e3o e na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de v\u00e1rios subprodutos. <\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Al\u00e9m disso, o cloreto de vinila tamb\u00e9m pode reagir com alguns metais, como alum\u00ednio e magn\u00e9sio, em altas temperaturas e\/ou sob certas condi\u00e7\u00f5es especiais. <\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Adicionalmente, ele reage com agentes oxidantes fortes tipo o oxig\u00eanio molecular presente no ar.
